Abstract:

Objective: To research the effects of nutrition nursing model based on scientific enteral nutrition on clinical symptoms, serum markers and clinical prognosis of patients with severe pancreatic cancer (PC). Methods: During September 2021 to September 2022, 96 patients with severe PC cured in our hospital were enrolled as subjects. The patients were arbitrarily classified into control group (n=48) and observation group (n=48). The former accepted routine nursing and the latter accepted nutrition nursing based on scientific enteral nutrition. The nutritional status, serum tumor markers, nursing satisfaction, anxiety and depression scores and rehabilitation were compared. Results: Following nursing, serum albumin (ALB), prealbumin (PA) and transferrin (TF) in the observation group were all higher. The levels of serum CEA, CA19-9, and AFP in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the levels of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after nursing care. After comparison, the nursing satisfaction of the patients in the observation group was remarkably higher (P<0.05). After nursing, the SAS score and SDS score of the patients in the observation group were remarkably lower (P<0.05). The hospitalization time and the relief time of abdominal pain in the observation group were remarkably shorter. Conclusion: The application of a nutritional care model based on scientific enteral nutrition to patients with severe PC improves their nutritional status, clinical symptoms and poor mood, and reduces serum tumor marker levels. Patient satisfaction with care has been improved, facilitating the recovery of patients' conditions, and this intervention is worth promoting in clinical practice.
