Abstract:

The Urbanization is a primary driver. Component behind urban growth. Sadly, Europe has enough justification. Overall, European cities are becoming less minimized. Since the mid-1950s, European urban areas have developed by 78% while the populace has developed by just 33%. Six European and one Chinese case study were used in the PLUREL project, which was sponsored by the EU's 6th Research Framework Programme. Towards a more sustainable urban-rural future, the following strategies were identified: Better infrastructure, land use, and open space arranging coordination. A green compact city through urban containment and urban growth. Protection of blue and green foundation, as well as agricultural land preservation and locally produced goods Regional governance still needs to be strengthened and pan-European policy attention to urban-rural links is certainly needed.
