Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the mental health of healthcare workers. Increased workloads, personal protective equipment shortages, and fear of infection contributed to heightened stress and anxiety. Prolonged exposure to traumatic events led to burnout and post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Psychosocial support played a crucial role in mitigating adverse effects. Stigma surrounding mental health remained a barrier. Policymakers and healthcare organizations must prioritize comprehensive mental health support for frontline workers. Further research is needed to assess long-term effects and identify sustainable solutions to safeguard healthcare workers' well-being.
