Abstract:

Objective: To research the related risk factors of non dry ear in patients with otitis media after radical mastoidectomy. Method: From March 2020 to may 2021, 100 patients with otitis media were selected as the observation objects in this research. All the above patients were treated with radical mastoidectomy, and a 6-month follow-up activity was carried out after surgery. Patients with dry ear in the follow-up period were included in the dry ear group, a total of 72 cases, and those without dry ear in the follow-up period were included in the non dry ear group, a total of 28 cases. The clinical data of the above two groups of patients were analyzed, including preoperative dry ear or not, Eustachian tube function, dressing change method, smoking history, presence or absence of fungal infection and other items. First, univariate analysis, chi square test were carried out, multivariate logistic regression analysis were carried out for statistically significant items, and the related risk factors affecting postoperative dry ear were summarized. Result: the proportion of eustachian tube dysfunction and fungal infection in the non dry ear group were both higher than those in the dry ear group, P < 0.05. Conclusion: The appearance of non dry ear in patients with otitis media after radical mastoidectomy is closely related to eustachian tube dysfunction, fungal infection and other factors. Clinical medical staffs need to pay more attention to such patients, actively implement perioperative preparation and postoperative management work, and carry out surgery centered comprehensive treatment measures for patients, so as to ensure the surgical efficacy and improve the prognosis of patients.
