Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the impact of clopidogrel and a stress system-based psychological intervention on the level of anxiety, depression, and social function in myocardial infarction patients. Methods: A total of 80 myocardial infarction patients who were admitted to our hospital between May 2020 and June 2021 were chosen as the study's participants, and 40 of them were randomly allocated to either a control group or a study group, with 40 patients in each group. On the basis of the control group, the study group underwent standard medical treatment while the control group underwent psychological psychotherapy based on the stress system model along with clopidogrel. The incidence of negative cardiovascular events, the severity of the patients' anxiety and depression, as well as their social and occupational functioning, were all monitored and compared. Results: When comparing pre- and post-intervention values for the two groups, we find that post-intervention values for SV, CO, and LVEF are all greater while post-intervention values for LVEDD and LVESD are all lower. Significantly increased SV, CO, significant improvements in LVEF and LVEF/LVEF ratio were detected in the study group compared to the control group, whereas LVEDD and LVESD were reduced in the study group compared to the control group (P<0.05). After the intervention, both groups' SAS and SDS scores decreased from their pre-intervention levels; nevertheless, the study group's scores were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). In both groups, social function scores dropped after 2 weeks and 1 month of intervention compared to pre-intervention levels, with the study group's scores falling more sharply (P<0.05) than those of the control group's. The rate of adverse cardiovascular events in the study group dropped to 5% after the intervention, substantially lower than the rate in the control group (20%). Conclusion: For myocardial infarction patients, psychological intervention based on the stress system model can enhance heart performance, ease anxiety and sadness, and enhance social function. This treatment has significant feasibility and safety, and it is deserving of clinical advancement.
